Home was “waterproofed” in January at a cost of almost $4500. 6 weeks later water was still coming in, thought no problem we have a warranty. Nope. 58 Foundations says the type of work they did isn’t covered, and it’ll be another $3500 to try another waterproofing technique. So now it’ll be $8000 total to waterproof one small corner of a basement since 58 didn’t properly identify the issue in the first place. Needless to say I’ll be taking my business somewhere that actually stands behind their work and can actually find the root of the problem. Stay far, far away from these guys. Should also be noted every estimate I’ve gotten has been less than theirs as well. If you want to pay top dollar for bottom quality, this is your place.
58 Foundations is a remarkable company.. spoke with Amber Campbell who is the production coordinator..and she is amazing.. great communication and customer service.. she answered all questions and assured the job would be done in 2days and it was.. .she kept in contact with me throughout the job process... the foreman and crew were absolutely great.. they worked on the foundation.. added a sump pump and concrete areas in need...they explained what they did and how things work.. I appreciate all who I have been in contact with.. and can't forget about Lon he was sales rep who did the initial quote. Thank you all for an amazing experience and my house thanks you too.
So far, it is very bad... We hired 58 Foundations to waterproof our basement. The project is a necessary major investment to keep our home safe and waterproof and we didn't make this decision lightly. We trusted and hired the company because of their reputation, the years of experience, skilled crews, and promised professionalism. Well, we are experiencing the opposite. The crew assigned to our home is unprofessional, doesn't know the scope of the work, left all new materials including sun pumps and batteries outside (we have space inside for that) without proper coverage. The crew doesn't have an electrician and mistakenly cut the electricity in one area of the house and they don't know why it happened or how to fix it. At this point we cannot trust what the crew is doing. We are beyond disappointed and we hope to company will respond accordingly and assigns a skilled team to do the job. I will update my review when I get a proper response from the company.
I have had few experiences with businesses which from beginning to the final payment that were exceptional. '58 Foundations & Waterproofing is an exceptional company. Let me start with the team of all stars! Amber was very communicative. Every conversation was pleasant. Amber was very patient, explained processes and the follow up with Amber is better than my own momma! Mike is a great communicator and demonstrated so much integrity. He came out to provide a quote, provided models, computer generated mapping, and gave a thorough explanation of the installation process. One contractor who came out before quoted us a $40K process that frankly was not necessary. We told Mike about it. While '58 could have sold us the same kind of process, it was not necessary, and so instead of making a profit, Mike and '58 wanted to serve the customer with the best option for what we needed. This speaks VOLUMES. When a company could have made a profit because a home owner was fearful. Rocky: We played so much phone tag (It was all me Rocky!), but each time there was a message and when we finally spoke, Rocky was kind and patient. Wilson and Crew: These folks are EXCELLENT!! While they came a bit later than the window, they worked for hours seemingly non-stop to ensure the work was completed in a timely manner. Wilson explained the work, next steps and was open to answer questions. The crew were pleasant, always smiling and waving. It seemed like they either enjoyed the work, each other or the company. Regardless, of why they smiled, the work they completed had me matching grins. Y'all, major housework can be intimidating, but the folks at '58 Foundations & Waterproofing will walk you through it WITH you in a respectful, supportive manner.
Job was totally oversold by the salesman and not backed up by the company. They rely on contracts to get them out of actual craftsmanship and quality work. They will tell you what you want to hear and deliver poor work. If your looking for quality work and a stand up company spend your money elsewhere!!!
