I scheduled an appointment on 10/14 to have my dryer serviced on 10/16 the time given was 10-12. I took off today to get things done around the house. At 12:05 I contacted Star Appliance Repair because no one showed up. They had an emergency and wanted to reschedule. My issue is I had to reach out to the company to verify if they were running late. That’s not good customer service and I’ve missed a day of work and have to find someone else who can come out today.
Not an emergency but wanted to get ahead of a dryer breakdown. Called in the AM and a technician arrived within an hour (happened to be in the area). He diagnosed, presented and explained the issue. Found the required parts locally and came back a couple of hours later to complete the repair. Also cleaned up the mechanical area of the dryer that was covered in belt rubber as part of the repair. Showed me the finished product and put it all back together. Terrific experience… and Highly Recommended!
I am delighted to write this review for Star Appliance Repair. I contacted the owner of the company John for my non-functional Samsung dryer and LG dishwasher. Within minutes, John returned my phone call and asked me to describe the problems that I was having with my two appliances. First, he was upfront about the approximate cost involving parts and labor, which was reasonable. But then, before even coming to my house, John asked me to perform a few preliminary checks on the appliances right over the phone. After spending about 30 minutes of his time, he was able to diagnose the problems, and with his help my dryer and dishwasher were functional again. John said that both appliances needed only minor re-calibrations and the dryer’s duct required just cleaning – no mechanical or electrical defects. To my surprise, John did not charge me even a penny. I was pleasantly surprised by John’s honesty, which in today’s time is seldom seen, and expressed my gratitude for his selfless kind help. I will definitely call him for any future problems with my appliances. I did not know John previously. I contacted him based on his outstanding posted reviews. Like others, I must admit that he is honest and incredibly knowledgeable with a very high level of professional skills, in addition to being very friendly and kind person. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dependable, reasonable, and highly qualified appliance repair work. I give John’s company Star Appliance Repair 5 stars. Subhash
These guys came to my house took the oven apart said they'd be back in a couple days didn't come back in a couple days didn't call me when I called them they said to me they don't want to work on the oven it's half a part in my kitchen and they're not coming back What kind of low life appliance repair company is this
My Refrigerator broke down and was heating up. I called at 4:45pm and spoke to John. He was leaving for home but came right over. It turned out the relay was bad. John had the part in his van and completed the repair in less then 30 minutes. He is professional with fair prices. I highly recommend using Star Appliance Repair.
